Shipping & Returns

At Designer Hire we like to make things as simple as possible for you so we offer a flat rate shipping fee for returning shipping, Australia wide and New Zealand wide.

For Australian shipping, you pay a flat rate for TWO PREPAID EXPRESS BAGS which includes DISCOUNTED RETURN SHIPPING. You will pay a flat fee of $25 and you get two express postage bags, one containing your garment prior to wear and a pre-paid one all filled out, ready for you to pop the garment in and send back following the completion of hire.

We also offer local pick up from Manly (Fridays only) or Barden Ridge (any day) of an evening for those who are local to those areas.

We also offer free SHIRE WIDE same day delivery for all last minute orders placed and beginning on a Friday for your weekend emergencies.

All orders are posted the 1-2 days before your hire period begins. We use Australia Post express shipping so your order will arrive in accordance with their delivery network. In order for us to commit to delivering on time please do not begin your hire period on a Saturday or Sunday as we cannot guarantee delivery on those days. Please always contact us prior to hiring if you have any questions about delivery. Rural areas definitely require at least 2 days so the longer booking option is recommended for you so we have a buffer zone. Please contact us if you are unsure which hire arrangement best suits you so we can best advise you on what would be most suitable.

All orders must be returned to the post office by 3pm on the final day of your hire period.Please note, we do not permit the garments to be posted back via the red boxes found on Australian streets, this delays postage back to us and you will be charged via your bond for lateness. This rule is also one that protects you as posting at a post office provides proof of postage in the case of a dress being late but you having returned on time. This would NOT result in any loss of bond as we deem it not your fault.

In Australia, please allow 2 days for postage, 3 if in a rural area by booking 2-3 days before your event. We highly recommend reading our Terms and Conditions in full before hiring, which is located on the top menu of our website. Please indicate in the note section when checking out what date you will be wearing the dress. The more details we have the better so we can accomodate you as best as possible.

In New Zealand you must go with either the 6 day or extended hire option. We require 3-5 days for shipping so please ensure your hire is booked to begin 3 days before your actual event. We will post your garment 2 days before the hire period begins to allow adequate time for shipping.

We take care of all cleaning charges so you simply have to book, pay, wear and return, it is as easy as that.
